This route is the third stage of the GR® 22, the Grande Randonnée which goes from the city of Paris to the abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most visited sites in France. This stage begins in the town of Neauphle-le-Château, and goes to the village of Gambaiseuil in the forest of Rambouillet.

This hike, between town and forest, is located northwest of Montigny-le-Bretonneux and begins near the town hall in Jouars-Pontchartrain. The route passes by the Chemin de la Vallée, the Forest of Sainte-Apolline and the Château de Pontchartrain in the distance, before returning to the starting point.

This mountain bike route leaves from the town of Plaisir and follows the dirt roads in the heart of the Bois de Saint-Joint. The town of Plaisir has been frequented since Gallo-Roman times. There is a castle built in the 17th century, listed as a Historic Monument. Also listed as an historic monument, the Saint-Pierre church, which dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. Cyclists will appreciate the unspoilt nature of the forest along this route.

The route passes through the Château de Plaisir, the Parc du Château, the Forest of Sainte-Apolline, Jouars-Pontchartrain, the Chemin de la Fosse Rouge and Les Mousseaux, among others, before returning to the starting point.
