The Gimmlitz is a right tributary of the Freiberger Mulde in the Ore Mountains. The source is near the Schickelshöhe (805 m). After about 25 km, the Gimmlitz flows into the Freiberger Mulde in Lichtenberg. From the source, around 15 km of the Gimmlitztal have been a nature reserve since 2015.
