This path begins at the Hamburg Bergedorf train station. It crosses the Schleusengraben and turns into the Vierländer Eisenbahndamm, which you drive to the Elbe. You drive a bit along the Elbe and then turn into the Kirchwerder Landweg, which basically leads you back to the beginning. There are many dining options along the way.

In the event of high water, the route from Sandkrug is closed for approx. 4 km. Then use the signposted "Elbe-Radweg" and you come back on the route at Tesperhude. Up to Lauenburg the route is flat and behind it you have to go up the Geesthang (possibly pushing). At Sandkrug you drive along the floodplain forests from the Elbe. Unfortunately, due to the floods (mostly in spring) there are some sandy sections of the route.
