Most rooms take dogs, and yours is welcome in the bar, the lounge, the terrace and the garden, so it stays at your side through the evening rather than waiting upstairs. There is no weight limit, so a big dog is treated the same as a small one, and dogs stay free.
What the hotel does not do is provision. There is no dog bed, no treats, toys or poo bags, no dog walking or sitting service, and staff have not been trained for canine guests. Dogs cannot be left alone in the room either, so an evening out has to be one your dog comes along to, and you will be packing your own bowls.
This is an acceptable stay for an owner who travels light and keeps their dog beside them anyway, drawn by the free, full run of the public rooms rather than any in-room comfort. Bring the kit and it does the job for a sociable dog.
