Aspen Meadows Resort has been awarded an A+ Roch Rank, a grade that very few resorts anywhere achieve. Every room welcomes dogs for just twenty-five dollars a night, with no weight limit, and your dog is welcome across the bar, the restaurant, the lounge and the terrace, so meals together are simply how it works here.
The grounds are the real showpiece. Acres of open green space sit right outside the door, with mountain trails heading out in every direction, and Aspen's backcountry within a short walk. For an active dog this is paradise, morning runs with mountain views and afternoon ambles through some of the most beautiful landscape in Colorado. The resort won our Great Outdoors Award for the finest grounds of any hotel we assess, and it is easy to see why.
What lifts this resort into the top tier is that the team here genuinely love having dogs around. They host Yappy Hour events on the grounds, proper social gatherings that have drawn the local golden retriever community in numbers and become a fixture in Aspen's dog calendar. The room comes with a dog bed, bowls, a treat and even toys, the hotel runs a dog-walking service and hands out poop bags, and the team will point you toward the best trails for the morning. Staff love dogs and regularly volunteer at a local canine charity.
Being welcome across the restaurant and bar, not just a roped-off corner, is rare even at this level, and against a full welcome, beautiful grounds, a walking service and a genuine events calendar, a twenty-five-dollar nightly fee is exceptional value. Aspen Meadows is for the owner who came for the mountains and wants the dog at the table, on the trail and at the party alike. Few hotels anywhere do it better.
