Fairmont Riyadh Dog Friendly Review
Fairmont Riyadh is not certified. Assessed against the Roch Dog Friendly Standard, it missed two of our minimum requirements: dogs are not welcome in any indoor shared space, and it did not tell us how many dogs may share a room.
What it does offer is better than that opening suggests. Most of the rooms are dog friendly, dogs are allowed in the garden, and there are green spaces and parks close by. A dog bed, real food and water bowls and toys are provided, the team gives guidance on local walking routes, and an emergency vet number is kept at the desk. Most notably the staff have received canine guest training, which very few hotels in this round can claim and which usually shows in how a dog is actually treated on arrival. Cats are welcome too, and the pet policy is published.
The limits are the indoor rule and the absence of anything resembling a service. No dog walking, sitting or grooming, no treats or poop bags, no dedicated dog space, and dogs cannot stay in the room on their own.
The dog fee is SAR 50 per day, with no damage deposit, and there is no weight or size limit, so large breeds are welcome.
