Hotel La Perla holds an A+ Roch Rank, our highest, and for a stay in the Dolomites with a dog it is hard to better. Dogs are welcome in most rooms, with no limit on size, and they are welcome almost everywhere in the hotel, from the lounge and the bar to dinner at the Bistrot. The only exceptions are the breakfast room and the two restaurants, La Stua de Michil and Les Stues. In summer there is a garden where you can sit out with your dog.
The welcome is generous. Every dog gets a treat at check-in, a dog bed and food and water bowls are waiting in the room, and poop bags are provided. Your dog may stay in the room while you head out, and housekeeping will not go in while your dog is there. If you want a longer spell away, the team can arrange a dog sitter, and the hotel keeps an emergency vet's number to hand.
This is walking country, and La Perla makes the most of it. There are hikes all around the hotel, the team is happy to suggest routes, and the hotel's own hiking guide takes dogs along too. The dog fee is €40 per night, there is no damage deposit, and cats are welcome as well. For a dog owner heading to Alta Badia, this is as good as it gets.
