Sugar Beach Dog Friendly Review

This hotel is not certified. Assessed against the Roch Dog Friendly Standard, Sugar Beach failed to meet our minimum requirements: it does not provide dogs with food and water bowls, and does not welcome dogs in its bar or lounge.

On the plus side, most rooms are dog friendly; and staff can point you to local dog walk routes.

On the downside, there is a USD 150 fee; a damage deposit of USD 150 is charged; there is a weight limit of around 40 lb; no dog bed is provided; and there is no dog walking or sitting service.

Sugar Beach With Your Dog · Good To Know

Is Sugar Beach dog friendly?

No. Sugar Beach allows dogs, but being allowed to bring a dog and being genuinely dog friendly are not the same thing. We assessed it against the Roch Dog Friendly Standard and it failed to meet even our minimum requirements, so it is not certified and holds our lowest rating. The review above explains where it falls short.

Is there a pet fee at Sugar Beach?

Yes. Sugar Beach charges a pet fee of USD 150. A deposit of USD 150 may also apply. It is always worth confirming the current pet fee when you book, as charges can change from time to time.

Is there a weight limit for dogs at Sugar Beach?

Yes. Dogs up to 40 lb are welcome at Sugar Beach. If your dog is heavier than that, it is worth speaking to the hotel before booking to see what can be arranged.

Are cats welcome at Sugar Beach too?

Yes, Sugar Beach allows cats as well as dogs. It is not certified under the Roch Dog Friendly Standard though, so confirm the current cat policy with the hotel directly before you book.
