It is a genuinely well-equipped stay for owners of small dogs, provided you are happy to work with its rules and a premium price. Dogs are welcomed with a bed, real food and water bowls, their own dishware, waste bags and a toy, so there is little to pack. Dog food can be arranged on request, and grooming or spa treatments are available in your suite for an extra charge. Most rooms are dog friendly, and the team keeps an emergency vet's number on hand.
Access has opened up but still comes with conditions. Dogs are now welcome in the main house lounge, out in the garden and grounds, and on the terraces, though they must stay on the lead whenever they are outside the room. Bars and restaurants remain off-limits. At the pool and beach your dog has to stay in your arms or on your cabana, and swimming is not allowed. Dogs cannot be left alone in the room, but they do offer a dog-sitting service.
