InterContinental Kansas City At The Plaza Dog Friendly Review

This hotel is not certified. Assessed against the Roch Dog Friendly Standard, the InterContinental Kansas City At The Plaza failed to meet one of our minimum requirements: it does not provide dogs with food and water bowls.

In most other respects it is a reasonable choice. Most rooms take dogs, and your dog is welcome alongside you in the bar, the restaurant, the terrace and the lounge, so you are not shut away at mealtimes. Dogs can be left in the room on their own, there is no weight limit, and staff are trained to look after canine guests.

The shortfalls are practical. There is a $125 per stay fee, which is steep given how little comes with it, and beyond a few free treats you will need to bring your own kit, bowls included. There is no garden or dedicated dog space on site, though there are public green spaces nearby for walks and staff will point you to the routes. There are no dog walking or sitting services.
