Sanyo Hotel does offer some genuine flexibility for dog owners staying with larger companions, as there is no weight or size limit imposed on dogs. This opens the hotel up to owners of bigger breeds who often find themselves turned away elsewhere. There is also no damage deposit required, which removes an upfront financial barrier that can otherwise complicate a stay with a dog. Up to two dogs per room are permitted, allowing owners with multiple dogs to stay together.

That said, the allowances are limited in scope. Only some rooms at the property are dog friendly, so availability is restricted rather than guaranteed across the hotel. There is no indoor access for dogs to shared spaces such as the bar, restaurant or lounge, and no terrace or garden where a dog might spend time outdoors. Practical extras are absent too, with no dog bed, no food or water bowls provided, and no poop bags supplied. Owners hoping for support services will also find none, as there is no dog-walking or dog-sitting service on offer. Dogs may not be left alone in the room, which will matter to anyone needing to step out without their dog in tow.
