Wequassett Resort and Golf Club holds an acceptable C Roch Rank for dogs and their owners. Your pup is welcome to join you for coffee and pastries on the patio outside The Sill or for a burger on the beach, and the Round Cove Lawn right outside most of the dog friendly rooms offers a pleasant green space to relax in. Dogs are allowed on the beach on a lead, and there are doggie playdates every morning between 7:30am and 8:30am and afternoon between 4:30pm and 5:30pm on Clam Point. A doggie concierge can also point you towards local dog parks, grooming and emergency vet care nearby, and the concierge team can recommend good walking spots too.
Each stay includes a cosy dog bed, a proper food bowl and water bowl, and a welcome amenity in the room, with a little treat offered on arrival and poop bags supplied for your stay. There is a pet menu available, and the hotel can arrange dog sitting through a third party if you need time away. You may leave your dog alone in the room, provided he is taken out before housekeeping comes and the Do Not Disturb sign is placed on the door. Most rooms across the Villa, Cottage and Signature collections are dog friendly. The dog fee is $100, which is fair given the range of extras included, and there is no damage deposit required. A portion of the fee is donated to the Animal Rescue League of Boston Brewster branch.
The main restriction is a weight limit of 90 lbs, with only one dog permitted per room, so larger dogs or households with two dogs will need to look elsewhere. The hotel does not provide a dog wash or shower area, a dog walking service, grooming, or dog toys, and dogs are not allowed in the bar, restaurant or lounge, so mealtimes and evenings out will mean leaving your dog behind. This is a good fit for the owner of a single, well behaved dog under 90 lbs who wants beach time, a lawn to wander and some structured playdates built into the day. Owners with larger or multiple dogs, or who hope to bring their dog to dinner, should book elsewhere.
