Ojai Valley Inn is not certified. Assessed against the Roch Dog Friendly Standard, it missed one of our minimum requirements: dogs are not welcome in the bar, the lounge or the restaurant. That caps the rank at F.

Dogs are welcome, with up to two dogs to a room. There is no weight limit. The hotel provides a dog bed, dog food is sold on site, and dog walking and grooming can be arranged. An emergency vet number is kept at the desk, and green spaces and parks are close by, with staff on hand to point you to the good walks. The hotel also runs dog friendly activities.

The hotel sets its dog fee as follows: $300 for the first dog, $300 for the second dog with a 2 dog maximum per dog friendly room. No treats, toys or poo bags are provided, there is no garden or dedicated dog space on site, dogs cannot be left alone in the room, and staff have not had formal training for canine guests. Your dog stays in the bedroom for the duration, and that is what keeps this hotel out of certification.
