For those looking for vibrant flora without leaving the heart of Brisbane this is certainly the top choice, and it is easily accessible by public transport with Roma Street Station just a few metres away.

This is a fantastic botanical garden nestled deep within Brisbane and on the edge of the CBD. Within this green oasis you can find ornamental ponds, bamboo groves, huge wheeping figs and more. This route also takes you along the Brisbane river on a shared path so make sure to keep to the left and look out for cyclists coming through.

A nice peaceful paved walk along the river. Accessibility: The trail surface is paved and typically between four and eight feet wide. The estimated grade is mostly gentle for the first half-mile, but there are some steep sections past there where wheelchair/mobility equipment or stroller users may need assistance.

A shared path that follows the river around past Dockside Ferry Terminal,Story Bridge and Captain Burke Park. A great way to see the centre of Brisbane and there are many spots to stop at along the way. This connects at the start with the Bicentennial Bikeway if you want to extend your ride, wall or run.

This loop takes you along the Brisbane river first crossing the Goodwill Bridge. You then follow the river upstream past the South Bank Parklands and the Gallery of Modern Art. Continuing on, you cross the Go Between Bridge named after the famous band from Brisbane, The Go Betweens. Looping around you then cross the Kurilpa Bridge and back track towards the Victoria Bridge.
