The route starts from Piazza Italia, crosses the Villa Comunale and reaches the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, in the old part of the village. Human presence in this area dates back to the Paleolithic, but during the Middle Ages the Longobards, Saracens, Byzantines and Normans began to settle in the ancient village.

A nice walk along the historic path of the Apulian Aqueduct, which today has been redeveloped as a cycle path, through the rolling countryside of the trulli. Starting from the Contrada Cappuccini church, on the Foggia di Sauro - Cisternino municipal road, arrive at the Masseria Tarturiello, not far from Monte dell'Olmo. This route can be done by bike or walking.

A pleasant walk, which can also be done with children, from Ostuni to the Archaeological and Naturalistic Park of Santa Maria di Agnano. The route follows the Malandrino local road until it reaches the Archaeological Park. It is a 13-hectare area at the foot of the Southern Murgia still undergoing archaeological excavations, where the cave of Santa Maria di Agnano has been found. It is advisable to consult the museum page for the opening hours as it is not open every day.
