A very beautiful route on the edge of Lauwersmeer National Park. Here you walk through the reed beds in the middle of the rivers Rechteind and Middelgat. The area is filled with reed birds, and Koninck horses and Scottish Highlanders graze around here. The route leads to the bird hide and watchtower. Some paths here can become overgrown or even disappear, besides the cows and horses, little maintenance is done here.
