Circular walk starting at the edge of the Leusderkwartier, a neighborhood in the south of Amersfoort. The first part of the route passes through Nimmerdor, a 17th century estate, today a varied woodland area. After crossing the highway you will arrive at the next estate, that of Den Treek-Henschoten. The estate is known as a walking area and is popular for its varied nature. You walk through dense, romantic forests, over stately avenues, along the Langeveen and over the heathland.

This is the shortened version of the NS-Wandeling Lange Duinen. The long route is 22 kilometers and leads to the Hollandsche Rading train station instead of Soest-Zuid. With the walk you make a beautiful trip over the Soestduinen. You walk through the woods to the Lange and the Korte Duinen, where you brave the shifting sands. Halfway through the route you pass through the village of Soestduinen where there is a restaurant for a break.
