In 1631 the painter Rembrandt van Rijn moved from Leiden to Amsterdam at the age of 25, where he continued to live until his death in 1669. This walk takes you past places where Rembrandt lived and worked in the 17th century city. De Waag, formerly the Theatrum Anatomicum, is on the Nieuwmarkt.
