Here is a beautiful hiking route starting from the town of Arpajon-sur-Cère. This town, nestled in a plain of Cantal, is located at the junction of the Cère and Jordanne rivers. The hike follows the Route de Vaurs along the Ruisseau de Mamou and takes you to the heights of Arpajon. You will follow a dirt road between the fields and in the undergrowth before descending on the Chemin des Prés Beza. The circuit follows uncrowded country roads and dirt roads between meadows and forests. Mountain bikers will cross the villages of Vézac and Giou-de-Mamou before returning to Aurillac.

Here is a beautiful hiking route that will take you through the forest from Crespiat near Roannes-Saint-Mary. The route goes into the forest and crosses La Cère near the Château de Conros, built in the 13th century. Forest paths lead you to the top of the hill via La Viale Longue from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. You will go down to La Cère and retrace your steps to Crespiat.

This mountain bike circuit allows you to discover the typical countryside landscapes of this corner of Cantal. From Naucelles, the route follows the Chemin du Plateau de St Jean de Dône to the village. You will then criss-cross the countryside on small roads with little traffic and sometimes technical dirt roads. A beautiful hilly route that passes through many villages before returning to the starting point of Naucelles.
