This is a great and quick walk around Balcones District Park and features many scenic viewpoints to stop and relax. The route is partially paved and wide, making it a great and easy place for the whole family to enjoy. There are several offshoots for those who wish to explore different areas in the park.

There are several creek crossings to navigate while exploring the beautiful forested area, full of native plants. Wildlife can be seen along this corridor of protected land including deer, a variety of birds, and small reptiles. The trail can be rocky with rolling hills in some sections of the park. This small park serves as a great green space area for the neighboring residents.

This is a pleasant and easy route that combines the Tangle of Trails and Mark's Art trails. There is a scenic creek crossing with rolling hills to wander through along the way. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. Other amenities in this park include an off-leash area for dogs.

This is a relatively easy hike that travels along the Windy Loop Trail and the BMX Loop Trail. There is a little bonus in exploring the old abandoned Coxville Zoo which is accessible just off the start of the BMX trail. There are many switchbacks and hills along this route, making for a great workout. For those who wish to extend their route, consider adding one of the many other short loops in the area.
