This route goes to Choachí, but not by road, but by La Calera and Mundo Nuevo. Starting in Bogotá, then go up to Patios and descend towards La Calera. A few small ascents that border 3,000m and then start the descent. After a few hours, a detour to Mundo Nuevo requires one more climb and a turn around a valley. Once in Choachí, it is possible to take a bus that also loads bicycles to return to Bogotá.

A bike ride to Chingaza leaving from Bogotá, also passing through La Calera. The ascent has a spectacular landscape, especially if the weather is clear. It is not an easy journey, and generally, the return section is made difficult by the seemingly endless climb back to the tollbooth. However, it is a good and entertaining route.
