The Sävsjöleden winds around the entire Sävsjön through pine forest, deciduous forest and swamp. Some parts go over wetlands, so waterproof boots are recommended. With its varied terrain, the trail is relatively challenging, but you are rewarded with beautiful views near the water and delicious blueberries along the trail. There are two wind shelters with barbecue area along the trail.

The Kycklingleden runs along Lake Vänern, which is Sweden's and the European Union's largest lake, and around Kycklingdalen. The trail starts and ends at Buda bathing place and goes through a hazel grove, coniferous forest and mixed forest, over mountains. The chicken valley, which is known for its rich plant life, has over 38 rare species. Some parts are steep but you are rewarded with beautiful views of Lake Vänern. Along the trail there are nice places to swim, have coffee and take a break.
