Walk through the "Parque de la Memoria", a monument to the victims of State terrorism. This is a large grassy park that slopes down to the wide concrete promenade overlooking the Rio de la Plata. The memorial contains some interesting monuments dedicated to the memory of victims who were labeled as dissidents, kidnapped, and silenced during the militant dictatorship called the "Dirty War". The park is a good place for a picnic and is quite busy during weekends. Admission is free.
