This is a very well kept county park trail system with both paved and unpaved paths. Trails are well marked with signs at every intersection and blazes. Park is pet-friendly. Admission to park is $2 per person and there are many amenities including playground, dog park, splash pad, picnic areas, and paddle boats.

This trail is on DOD land. You must have military ID or you can obtain a Marrington Patron Pass at the Outdoor Adventure Center. It takes four-weeks to process a background check for the pass. Additionally, the trail is subject to flooding. Marrington Plantation has several trails with the Red loop being the main trail and the Blue trails being shortcuts (rarely used). There are also Yellow trails, that are technical sections for mountain bikes, and an Orange trail that is tight and twisty.
