There are trails that lead to Kodel's Canyon, one that takes you to Flume Canyon and many different routes around the Devil's Canyon area. You could follow this route mapped here and add or alter it however suits your needs!

Rattlesnake Canyon provides outstanding opportunities for hikers who are looking for a bit of solitude and primitive recreation. Geologic features in this area includes arches, spires, windows, giant alcoves and desert patina. Between these canyons are pinon-juniper covered mesas which slope downward to the Colorado River. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but there are some portions which include scramble/climbing and may be impossible for smaller or older dogs.

Otto's Trail is a short trail in Colorado National Monument starting from Rim Rock Drive 1 mile east of the Visitor Center. Otto's Trail is a gently sloping trail that leads through pinyon-juniper woodlands to an overlook with views of Sentinel Spire, Pipe Organ, Praying Hands, and Independence Monument. The trail leads to a fenced overlook with great views of Independence Monument.
