When the parking lot is closed, there is a street parking option as well. This is a pretty, family-friendly walk around the Hollywood Reservoir. The gate closes at 7:30 pm. Users suggest going counter-clockwise to view the Hollywood Sign and to also watch out for tow-away zones when parking. From there the trail will continue straight where it will end behind the Hollywood sign. You will backtrack to Cahuenga Peak were you will take a side trail (on your right) to loop back to where you have started.
