A route that is absolutely amazing for biking and walking, running, or snowshoeing in winter. Folks recommend coming back in Autumn to enjoy a day at the picnic area, where you can bring food, games and frisbee to make a day of this fantastic nature area. While most of the trail follows urban areas, the lush riverside, forests, and boardwalks are a real treat. There are many nice views at the main (biggest) bridge.

A beautiful, well-maintained trail with lots to see any time of the year. The area around Toogood Pond has the most narrow trails, so be prepared for crowds on nice weekends. The trail is mostly paved or fine gravel, but the whole route is quite flat for being more than ten kilometres. Folks recommend avoiding the north side of Austin Park as it’s just a trail along the side of residential streets. The south side is better, and much more natural.
