This is an old 2ft narrow gauge British Era railroad that runs from Matheran to Neral. It was developed in 1907 and was financed by Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy and the whole project was overlooked by his son Abdul Peerbhoy. Till the 1980s this track was closed during the monsoon season due to landslides but now it remains open throughout the year.
