This is a flat, easy loop around the reservoir with wonderful views of the New York City skyline along the way. The loop is incredibly popular with runners, so you can expect to see people exercising around the loop at all hours daily. The flat terrain makes this a good loop for visitors to Central Park of all ages.

This route begins from the southern end of Central Park and passes The Pond, The Lake, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, East Meadow, and Harlem Meer before ending at the northern boundary of the park. This section of Central Park is between 86th Street Transverse and Central Park North. Along the way, you will pass by Harlem Meer, North and East Meadow, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the tennis courts, The Pool, and Great Hill. This is a great part of the park to walk amongst the trees and get some fresh air.
