Reinhardt Redwoods Regional park is known for its 150+ foot tall coast redwoods that tower above the trails. You'd never guess that this 1,833 acre park was once the site of a bustling logging operation before it was preserved. There are plenty of beautiful redwood trees that provide a canopy of shade on this route. This hike takes you through a variety of different ecosystems in the park. There are many nice spots to stop under the trees for a picnic.

Trail Highlights: This route covers areas of the park that are less traveled: the lake’s east side and Honker Bay. The first part of the trail is paved until Indian Cove Trail and then becomes a dirt path that winds gradually upward through the woods. The landscape opens up near the top to provide views of the lake.
