A great mountain biking loop at Cunningham Park in Queens. Hikers should be aware that it is heavily used by bikers. The trails extend on either side of Interstate 295/Clearview Expressway. The loop is mostly wooded but at points passes open athletic fields. Since the trails are in a densely populated urban area, some vehicle noise is often heard.

The Queensboro Bridge Path crosses over the East River connecting Manhattan and Queens crossing over Roosevelt Island. The bridge was simply known as the Queensboro Bridge before it was renamed in 2011 after former New York City Mayor, Ed Koch. The bridge was completed in 1909 and the pedestrian walkway/cycling path was finished in 2000. This is a flat, easy loop around the reservoir with wonderful views of the New York City skyline along the way. The loop is incredibly popular with runners, so you can expect to see people exercising around the loop at all hours daily. The flat terrain makes this a good loop for visitors to Central Park of all ages.
