This is a wonderful excursion at the gates of the Portofino Natural Park which reaches the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro. Here is a bar, a restaurant and a hostel to stay overnight. The descent takes place on a paved road and passes through San Maurizio di Monti. The first climb up to the sanctuary can be avoided by taking the cable car.

Leave your car in the parking lot and start walking towards the city center passing over the bridge over the Boate stream.
