This is a mostly paved route that follows the Wascana Creek from Wascana Lake. This is a great trail to come and cycle, walk, run, and even snowshoe or cross-country ski when there is snow on the ground. There are plenty of parking areas along the route, and little viewpoints, so you can make this route your own adventure. This loop from the parks along Wascana Creek will take you along the northern sections of Wascana Lake, before returning on the opposite side of Wascana Creek. Most of the route is partially paved, so this is a great place to come to run, walk, and cycle. This route is maintained almost all year, but your should also beware that snow can make this route more suited toward cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Wascana Lake North Loop is a level, paved, great urban trail for on your own or with family, young and old. It has beautiful views of the Legislative building and you're likely to see geese, pelicans and ducks. You'll pass Spruce Island Overlook on this route, which is great for photos. Enjoy your loop around the beautiful Wascana Lake.
