The Schoorlse Duinen are a source of nature and recreation. You enter the nature reserve from Schoorl, via the climbing dune, where you go up 51 meters over the loose sand. On the other side of the dune you will find the forests of Schoorl. The largest part of this route runs through the woods, to the edges of the Frederiksveld and the Mariavlakte. After the plains you visit the forest pavilion De Berenkuil. From here it is a nice forest walk back to the starting point.

A beautifully varied hike, starting at restaurant De Roode Leeuw. Immediately you start the climb to the highest dune in the forest. The Tree Planter Tour is an official walking route of Staatsbosbeheer. The walking route runs through the oldest forests of the Schoorlse Duinen, making it a wonderfully varied forest walk.
