Considered one of Ontario's great Rail Trails, this route includes sections with bridges, a variety of greenery, fields, forests, wetlands, and even some historic sites. There is lots of wildlife along the trail, so always keep your eyes peeled and even sit and relax on one of many benches along the way. This route begins at the Oakhill Cemetery and leads to Hardy Road and the Brantford Golf and Country Club. You will then follow a wide dirt path through fields all the way to Grand River with a couple hills. It crosses the river on a nice pedestrian bridge that offers great views. You will follow the river for a short time before heading inland to the turn-around point.

The Nature Centre, donated by SC. Johnson and Son Ltd. of Brantford, is surrounded by 100-hectares of mature forests, fields and wetlands. Whiteman's Creek and Rest Acres Creek offer unique stream habitats for discovery and exploration, with lots of loops and circles for explorers of all ages to enjoy. Kids and birdwatchers will love the bountiful wildlife and insects to see all along the water.
