This trail takes you along the Digest, which takes you through the city and beyond the dikes. You will have a good view of Nørresø and Tøndermarsken, where you can be lucky to see ducks and other birds. You are therefore encouraged to bring binoculars if you are interested in birds. Large parts of the trail are on flat paths, but by the dikes there are stairs.

This trail takes you along Papegøjestien in Tønder, where you will cross Vidå and walk along Nørresøen. Here you may be lucky enough to see ducks and other birds. You are therefore encouraged to bring binoculars if you are interested in birds. You will also pass Lægan Pumping Station, which is open to visitors from 8:00 - 20:00.

Prince Joakim previously lived in Møgeltønder at Schackenborg Castle from 1993 to 2014. The trail also comes out to the west coast, where one will get close to the mudflats.
