This loop has something to offer anyone, and is great all year round. Most of the trail follows paved pathways that are shared with cyclists, dog walkers and roller bladers, and cross-country skiers during winter. There are even some sections with paved concrete walls, and there are lots of off-shoot trails to explore. There are even a few art sculptures to see, in addition to facilities that offer recreational activities like: frisbee golf, mini putt, playground, washroom facilities....

This is a good trail, though with some decent elevation gain at times for someone running. The lower part of the trail is fairly straightforward in terms of route, though there are no trail markings. The upper part of the trail follows a bedrock path and there are a couple of times where the path forward is not so clear. The views are limited except for the start and end.

This trail is excellent, and rather easy when compared to other area hikes. However, if you have mobility issues there are some steeper hills to be aware of with plenty of rocks. This route is quite popular on weekends, especially along the river sections near the waterfalls. Folks who are new to hiking here enjoy that the trails are separated by colours and once you start, you'll follow the colours around.

Beautiful hike with rushing water cascades. You can hear the birds chirping, crickets chatting, and experience Mother Nature in all her glory! From the Cascades parking area at the top of Balsam Street, continue north until the orange trail meets up with the Current River and its cascades. Follow the river's edge downstream, to the blue connector trail that completes the loop.
