Walk along the scenic coastline starting from Lynn Hall Park to Bowditch Point Park. This is a classic Florida beach walk, with sandy dunes and sea shells. This mostly paved path is the best way to explore Sanibel Island. With over 22 miles of path, you can easily visit shops, restaurants, wildlife centers, and beach access areas. There are several bike rental shops for those who wish to travel via bicycle. The paths wander through local neighborhoods and under shady trees with many scenic views along the way.

Commodore Creek Trail is a kayaking trail located in J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island. This is a paddle route meant for kayaking, canoeing, or other forms of paddling- it is not a hiking route. This trail winds through mangroves and open bays past 17 checkpoints.
