This is a simple loop that travels the perimeter of a quiet and beautiful forested park. The trail is flat and great for families to enjoy together. Both bicycles and hikers share this path as it is multi-use. There are a couple of spur trails to explore for those who want to venture further into the park.

This route features a quick ascent up a set of rock stairs leading to the top of Old Baldy. Once at the top of the 218 rock steps, you'll be rewarded with beautiful 360-degree views of the Wimberley valley. There are a few stairs to navigate but overall the trail is nicely graded and great for a family outing.

This is the northern section of the Madrone Trail with a separate parking area. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. It can be easy to get turned around due to the many side trails, and it is suggested to download the offline map to help navigate before heading out.

This is the full Madrone Trail that travels along the eastern side of Canyon Lake. The trail wanders through a beautiful forested area and by the lakeshore for beautiful views. There are some very rocky and challenging parts, but some smooth and easy sections as well. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers.
