The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

This is the full Shingle Creek Trail located at the Shingle Creek Reserve. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by bikers and hikers. The scenery is beautiful and the whole family will enjoy sections of this route. There is an additional trail option to connect with the Pine Island East Loop Trail at Shingle Creek. This option uses the same trail entrance.

The park hours vary depending on the season but is open all days of the week year-round. During summer hours, the park is open from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. During winter hours, the park is open from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. This charming colonial home sits on 80 acres of lush grounds boasting oak and cypress trees, radiant seasonal flowers, and perfectly manicured lawns, all on the cusp of Lake Jessamine. This route features a loop through a scenic scrub habitat in the Orlando area. This park is home to many endangered plants that are protected in this natural habitat. The trail is mostly paved but there are several parallels and offshoots that travel along more sand-packed and natural surfaces. Other amenities in the park include tennis and basketball courts, fishing areas and playgrounds.

This short and sweet trail is paved or boardwalk and has nice scenery, although seasonally this area experiences flooding. This is the longest loop in the park which travels mostly along Palmetto Passage. During stretches of a lot of rainfall, the trails may be closed due to flooding. Please consult the park before heading out. For those wishing to extend their hike, there are other trail connections in the park to add distance.
