This is a great trail for kids and dogs. The start of the trail isn’t very scenic but you do get a nice view of Mt Hood. There are also several spots to access the Sandy River. The trail is absolutely gorgeous. You are next to the river or creeks or the lake almost the whole time. It takes you up through Lillyfield Loop and there are wildflowers almost the entire way dotted around the trails and all of the trees are covered in ivy. This trail is not well marked and has a lack of consistent cell reception in the area, please arrive prepared.
