This route loops around Alta Lake using a variety of urban trails in the area. There's a varying mix of scenery, from paved flat walking path, to views through the nearby neighbourhood, to Blueberry Trail in the woods along the lake on the east side. This route is easy and great for a stroll or a bike ride.

Additional parking can now be found at Whistler Interpretive Forest’s main parking lot located on Cheakamus Lake Road just off Highway 99. Relaxing, a family-friendly trail that would be a good choice for beginners. The Riverside Trail offers beautiful views of the river, with the river being like a natural AC on a hot day! It's awesome to watch the river flowing down with such force. The trail ends at the suspension bridge, but if you continue on a little further, you can do a little loop around the lovely Loggers Lake and go for a swim!

Farside and Riverside Loop is a beautiful hike with amazing white water views and gorgeous scenery. You may want to consider crampons or microspikes if you're going during the snowier and colder seasons as it can get trickier for footing. This is an easily accessible by public transit if you don't drive. Enjoy the sounds of rushing water and lush greenery!
