You will also cross several small streams along the way and get through Vestereng, which is an open area that can be used for various activities.

The forest is of course best suited for people with dogs, as their dogs are allowed off-leash. However, the trail can still be walked with or without a dog. Along the way, you will pass the Company Pavilion and cross a small stream.

Riis Skov is a park forest next to the beach along the Århus Bay. It is a popular recreational area for the city's population. The beautiful forest has many flowers. The trail passes several picnic areas, a playground and a barbecue area. The trail also passes the memorial stone where the meteor struck in 1951 and a huge stone on which Queen Margrethe I (1352-1412) supposedly rested after a shipwreck.
