The GR® Bordeaux Métropole is a marked route that goes around the city of Bordeaux over 160 km passing through 17 municipalities, thus connecting the main green spaces of the agglomeration. It became the first metropolitan GR® in France in 2020, crowned by the French Hiking Federation. Before being a GR®, it was a discovery circuit of the Bordeaux conurbation.

This hike starts at Le Bouscat, near Place Raveziés and at the "Cracow" stop. The route passes, among other places, by the Lac de Bordeaux, the Ecological Reserve of Barails, and crosses the Jalle de Blanquefort. The route continues via the Lac de Marotte, the Marais de Florimond, the Lac des Padouens, Le Déhès and the Parc Ausone, before returning to the starting point.

Extreme urban environment! 2 kilometers of walking, steep paths, tracks in the woods, in the city but cut off from the city. You go between the quarry and the wood by steep paths. Be careful however, there are paths that descend wildly and that lead to nothing. So never go below the level of the "cliff". The descent on the career path is done in all seasons without chains or studded shoes.

The Palmer Park covers 25 hectares. It is a very pleasant place to walk to discover beautiful panoramas of Bordeaux. It is made up of vast rolling meadows, paths lined with trees and flowers. The Palmer Castle belonged to Charles Palmer, Mayor of Bath and Major of the English armies who fought against Napoleon during the Spanish Civil War.
