The parking for this area fills up quickly, and it is suggested to arrive early in order to find a spot. The boardwalks along the way can become flooded during high tide- you may want to check ahead of time just to be sure. This is mostly a hike along the beach, and there is no shade in the area so sun protection is advised.

While short, this trail is very scenic and winds through a lush pine flatwoods forest where plenty of wildlife can be seen. Oak and pine scrub line the trail and there are many depression marshes that contribute to the preserves overall diversity of plant and animal life. Some sections are exposed to the sun and it is advised to bring sun protection.

This route is a walk along the beach from Cherie Down Park to the northern terminus of the beach.
