This beautiful path suitable for everyone takes you from Forio to Bosco di Zaro, an area with granite rocks, with thick vegetation that offers spectacular views of the sea. At the end of the path you will find a wonderful and evocative area of spiritual contemplation dedicated to the Madonna di Zaro. Here on 8 October 1994 there was an apparition of the Madonna to two families from Ischia.

Fantastic hike, although steep, on the Island of Ischia above the village of Forio. Beautiful wildflowers, tropical jungle and amazing views from the top of the volcano. At the top of Monte Epomeo (788 m), there is an excellent restaurant with WIFI and accepts credit cards. The path is very well marked. The departure from Santa Maria al Monte begins on a stretch of asphalted road until it reaches the path.

This walk suitable for everyone leads directly to Monte Epomeo (788m). This mountain is of volcanic origin and is the highest on the island of Ischia. The last eruption on the island dates back to 1302. The path starts on a carriageway and slowly crosses a chestnut wood. On the top there is a church of 1459 dedicated to San Nicola di Bari, a hermitage, as well as a tavern, both of these structures dug into the tuff.
