Vardia - Agia Sofia - Nikovo - Petrouvouni Loop (Βάρδια - Αγία Σοφία - Νίκοβο - Πετροβούνι κυκλική) The beautiful route starts near the 'Vardia ton Dimitreon', the isolated tower in the northeast of Kardamyli, descends towards Ancient Kardamyli and continues east, climbing up the side of the ravine. It then continues northeast to Exochori and Nikovo. From there it returns south following paths and dirt roads to Petrovouni, before reaching the starting point.

Petrovouni - Proastio (Πετροβούνι - Προάστιο) The route is located at the foot of the Messinian Mt Taygetos and starts from the village of Petrovouni in Exo Mani. The route runs east - southeast between olive groves, hills and streams. It continues and passes through the post-Byzantine monastery of Agios Georgios before ending up in the village of Proastio. The view of the imposing Mt Taygetos on one hand and the Messinian Gulf on the other is panoramic and fantastic.
