This hike from Les Houches reaches the village of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The start of the trail leads you towards the Arve and crosses the river at the Les Houches dam. A forest path follows the route of the river a little higher. The path passes under the large trees of the communal forest of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. When you arrive in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc you will be able to see the Lac à l'Anglais and the Lac des Gaillands. A great walk for the whole family.

This route of just under 7 kilometers allows you to discover the region of Les Houches in Haute-Savoie. Starting from a car park in the village, you will take the Route des Gens which you will follow for 1 kilometer until you reach the forest. You will then begin your ascent along the Torrent de la Griaz until kilometer 1.8. You will then head west still in the forest before descending towards the alpine hamlets of Les Chavaux and Les Champs to the starting point of Les Houches.
