From here you'll head directly straight down the Sandridge Rail Trail all the way to Port Melbourne where you'll reach the waters edge and back again.

The trail itself is a wide, well maintained paved shared path that runs alongside the foreshore of the lake with city views and plenty of birdlife. The path is used for riding, running walking and is close to the city center. There are amenities like public restrooms, restaurants, and parking available along the way.

Plenty to keep you busy, from shops and cafes to museums and parks. Can easily be combined with other routes through the city if you wish to explore a different stretch on the way back to Flinders Street Station.
