Demanding "Traumpfad" - the most popular and well-known crossing of the Alps This demanding long-distance route runs from Munich's Marienplatz to St. Mark's Square in Venice. The route, known as the "Traumpfad" was designed by Ludwig Graßler in 1974 and consisted of 28 daily stages. The "Traumpfad" leads through many historic towns, picturesque villages, and breathtaking mountain scenery. Of course, individual stages can also be hiked as day tours.
